Our Favorite TV Kitchens

We always say kitchens are the heart of the home, so it makes sense that many pivotal scenes from these classic television shows are set in the kitchen.

Need help choosing the right kitchen countertop?

Can you guess which popular tv series each of these iconic kitchens belong to?

Downton Abbey

Though giving up the conveniences of a modern kitchen would be hard, it’d be worth it to get a cooking lesson from Mrs. Patmore. It may take a little longer to whip up the family dinner, but we say a little elbow grease and a lot of love make for better tasting food anyway.

Mad Men

Knotty pine cabinets, plaid wallpaper and bright blue laminate epitomize this 1950’s rustic kitchen. Don and Betty’s decor is, albeit a bit dated, the perfect midcentury ambiance in which to enjoy a post-work cocktail.

Brady Bunch

Retro, groovy and colorful, the Brady Bunch kitchen is bright and homey and oh so 70’s. That indoor grill is particularly drool-worthy and we’d pay big money to get our hands on those molded kitchen chairs.

Full House

Danny Tanner’s commitment to cleanliness could have been the reason why this San Francisco kitchen always looked fantastic, but we think the personal touches of artwork and family mementos are what make it the heart of their home.

The Simpsons

Between the purple painted cabinets, blue laminate countertops and corn cob curtains, it would be difficult to be in a bad mood in this colorful kitchen. Plus when you have neighbors as friendly as Ned Flanders, you can’t go wrong, right? Hey-diddly-ho.

Seinfeld

Keeping this bachelor pad monochromatic is an easy way to keep a small kitchen looking clean and sleek. The glass upper cabinet facades stop the space from feeling closed in and cramped.

Friends

If you’ve ever lived in a big city, chances are Monica and Rachel’s larger than life apartment shaped your expectations for what living in the city would be like. The charming, shabby-chic decor includes cheerful teal drawers, cabinets, and tons of open shelving.

ModernFamily kitchen

Modern Family

When you’ve got a busy household like the Dumphey’s, simplicity is the name of the game. This modern family kitchen showcases the classic triangle layout with a cooking, prep, and dining area in one modern space.

The quintessential grandparent home, this kitchen shows the family history over generations. The painted cabinets and wood countertops are warm and welcoming and stand the test of time.
